PANJIM: The Anti Narcotic Cell in a narcotic raid at Patto-Panjim arrested two persons from Andhra Pradesh and Odisha for possessing dried greenish colour leafy substance, suspected to be ganja worth Rs 8.70 lakh.
The ANC informed that a raid was conducted in the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday, based on prior information, at a parking lot in Patto-Panjim area.
Accused person Vungarala Pattabhi Rama Moulali Subharao, 40, native of Andhra Pradesh and 35-year-old Santosh Kumar Acharya from Odisha, were arrested under the NDPS Act. The accused persons were found in possession of dried greenish colour leaf substance, suspected to be ganja, weighing 8.700kgs worth Rs 8.70 lakh.
