MARGAO: Two Navelim residents were injured in an accident near Maria Hall, Benaulim.
According to Colva police, one Francisco A Alphonso, who was driving an Innova car knocked down scooterist Sheaffar J Noronha and his pillion rider Rina Noronha. Sheaffar and Rina suffered injuries in the accident.
At the time of accident, Alphonso was proceeding from Maria Hall in Beanulin towards Varca, while the victims were taking right turn to proceed to Benaulim after turning on the indicator light. The police have registered a case against the accused driver charging him with endangering human lives due to his rash and negligent driving.
