CALANGUTE: Calangute Police rescued two females from Odisha and Mumbai respectively for allegedly soliciting customers for prostitution at Naikawado, Calangute.
Calangute PI Jivba Dalvi said police received information that two females were waiting near a restaurant at Naikawado and were soliciting customers. Accordingly, the Calangute police team along with the Hope Foundation member Andrea Pereira went to the spot. They observed that two females were soliciting customers by the roadside. On questioning them, they informed that they were soliciting customers for prostitution since the last eight days at various public places in Calangute.
Their statements were recorded and were later lodged in the State Protective Home at Merces.
