Two suspected COVID-19 patients isolated at GMC

Two suspected COVID-19 patients have been isolated at Goa Medical College (GMC), while 17 have been placed under facility quarantine and 42 under home quarantine, on Friday. 

The media bulletin of the Directorate of Health Services reveals that 21 patients are currently in hospital isolation, as on date. In addition to this, two ‘contacts’ are in TB Hospital, Margao while three ‘contacts’ are in North Goa District Hospital, eight ‘contacts’ at the Sub District Hospital at Ponda and 44 ‘contacts’ at Margao Residency.

The bulletin further states that samples of three suspected cases sent on March 23 are awaited. Besides, 56 samples collected and sent to the laboratory on March 27 are also awaiting results. 

Goa has three COVID-19 patients, who are currently undergoing treatment, while a number of individuals who came in direct and indirect contacts of the COVID-19 patients have been identified and quarantined.
