MARGAO: Two separate incidents of theft have been registered at Colva police station wherein the accused entered rented rooms and committed theft of cash ~ both Indian and foreign currency and gold ornament totally worth around Rs 2.55 lakh. In the first incident, a Russian tourist residing at Betalbatim lodged a complaint at Colva police that between 10.30 pm December 9 and 10, around to 7 am unknown person committed theft of 800 Euros and 700 Dollars from his rented room worth approximately Rs 1.10 lakh. In another incident Donath Dias, 51, resident of Mumbai, stated that on December 10, between 8.20 am to 9.30 am unknown person entered rented room of his daughter at Majorda through the main door and to have committed theft of cash and gold ornaments allworth approximately Rs 1.45 lakh.
