Two youths killed in road mishap at Cortalim flyover

Two youths were killed after two-wheeler rammed into a road divider, crossed into the op posite lane and collided against a car at the Cortalim flyover bridge early Sunday morning. According to the police, the accident occurred at around 1.20 am when the rider K H Bikram Singha of Consua, Cor talim and a native of Assam, was proceeding from Panaji towards Verna with pillion rid er S. Pariton Singha, a native of Assam and presently residing at Consua, Cortalim upon reaching the Cortalim flyover bridge, lost control of the two-wheeler and rammed into a road divider and came in the opposite lane and further collided against a car which was proceeding from Ver na to Panjim. Following the collision both, the rider and the pillion rider S Pariton Singha suffered severe injuries and were rushed to the Goa Medical College (GMC), Bambolim where doctor on duty declared them brought dead. The Verna police later reg istered a case under sections 281 and 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and lady PSI Pramila Fer nandes is conducting investiga tions under the guidance of Ver na PI Anand Shirodkar and the overall guidance of Mormugao DySP Gurudas Kadam.
