MARGAO: People using the Margao flyover are beginning to complain of its condition. Wilson Viegas a daily commuter said there have been accidents on the bridge due to the protruding metal from the surface. “There is the possibility that there may be much bigger accidents during the peak season,” Viegas said.
He said there is always a chance of a tyre burst which can put several lives in trouble. Earlier during a meeting with the Dy Collector it was learnt from the Railway authorities that the structural audit has revealed the bridge structure to be in good shape. They had said that the road and tarring of the surface, along with erection of sign boards, has to be taken up by PWD.
