PONDA: Undir Paryavaran Manch President Mukund Naik on Friday urged PWD Minister Deepak Pauskar to shift the proposed sewage treatment plant (STP) project from the Undir Village.
Mukund along with Gurudas Naik and BJP worker Saurab Lotlikar met the PWD Minister and briefed him about the ill effects of the project. PWD Minister in return assured to look into matter and asked them to take necessary steps for alternative place.
It may be recalled that since past two years the Undir locals are opposing the STP stating that sewage treatment plant near the residential area would create pollution.
