PONDA: Ponda Lions Club distributed uniforms to 40 needy students of Government High School, Sadar-Ponda, in the school premises.
Speaking on the occasion, R G Dessai, a senior member of Lions Club of Ponda, stressed on importance of education.
Club President Shripad S Deshpande assured further support and highlighted the long-standing association of the club and school. Deshpande praised the school for making significant contribution towards inculcating values and love for nature and culture.
School Headmistress Gouravva Hebballi welcomed, Sharmila Rao compered the function while Smita Prabhudessai proposed the vote of thanks.
