VASCO: A 40-year-old woman from Upasnagar allegedly committed suicide in her residential flat on Monday evening.
Verna Police informed that Siddhi Naik, resident of Upasnagar-Sancoale committed suicide by hanging herself in her flat. Siddhi was mentally depressed for the past one year following her 13-year-old son’s death due to suicide. On Monday evening, while her husband was fast asleep, she committed suicide.
The police conducted the inquest panchanama and the body was sent to Hospicio Hospital, Margao. After the post mortem, the mortal remains were handed over to her family for last rites.
