PANJIM: Vaidik Shrivastava and Nagesh Verekar and Tanisi Kirtani and Prutha Parrikar will clash in the finals of Cadet boys and girls categories respectively in all-Goa State major ranking table tennis tournament.
In the cadet boys semi-finals, Vaidik outplayed Shashwat Mhapsekar 11-2, 11-9, 11-4 while Nagesh outsmarted Sirus Sah 11-9, 11-5, 11-8.
Tanisi smashed Anushka Hummanavar 11-3, 11-6, 11-1 while Prutha demolished Aditi Chodankar 11-8, 6-11, 11-5, 11-3 in the cadet girls semis.
Quarters result boys: Sirus Sah bt Jayden Gomendes 12-10, 9-11, 11-3, 11-7; Nagesh Verekar bt Shantesh Mhapsekar 11-6, 11-4, 11-4; Vaidik bt Aiden Furtado 11-6, 11-6, 11-4; Shashwat Mhapsekar bt Neelay Kamat 11-4, 13-11, 11-9.
Girls: Anushka bt Ahia Augustine 11-1, 11-1, 11-3; Aditi bt Ravee Gomes 11-3, 11-1, 11-2; Prutha bt Sheha Rane 11-9, 11-8, 11-6; Tanisi bt Sanisha Shetye 11-1, 11-2, 11-1. Nagesh Verekar will battle it out against Shantesh Mhapsekar in the finals of mini cadet boys.
In the semi-finals, Nagesh outsmarted Aiden Furtado 11-3, 11-3, 11-7 while Shantesh outplayed Parv Rastogi 11-4, 11-3, 11-7.
Senha Rane will meet Sanisha Shetye in the finals of mini cadet girls.
In the semi-finals, Sneha smashed Rene Gomes 11-7, 11-1, 11-1 while Sanisha got the better of Najida Sheikh 11-7, 11-2, 11-7.
