PANJIM: The Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority (GCZMA) will hold a hearing on Thursday with regards to the show cause notice issued to a hotel for carrying out construction of a concrete wall on Vainguinim Beach.
It may be recalled that the show cause notice was issued to the said hotel for carrying out construction work of a concrete wall on Vainguinim beach, which GCZMA found to be in violation of the repair works that it had permitted in the year 2017.
“Ongoing linear wall construction is a new work and not repairs as permitted under the NOC”, GCZMA noted.
The GCZMA had found that the cement concrete has been used as against eco-friendly material when cement concrete structures are prohibited on the beach, which is a highly ecologically fragile area.
