Varca stabbing: Victim undergoes 4-hour surgery

MARGAO: Leo Rodrigues, 49, the suspect in the stabbing incident that occurred at Varca, was arrested by Colva police late Saturday night and admitted to South Goa District Hospital for medical examination around 12.30 am. Rodrigues, known to be an alcoholic, required medical attention after his arrest.

Meanwhile, Agnelo Faria, the victim of the stabbing, remains in critical condition. He was admitted to Goa Medical College (GMC), Bambolim, and underwent a four-hour operation. Following the procedure, he was shifted to the ICU.  However, he is currently unable to provide a statement to the police.
