PONDA: The Qurerim panchayat, which had been adopted by the Union Ayush Minister Shreepad Naik under MP fund, passed the village development plan prepared by the Special Committee appointed by the government in cooperation with local villagers, after studying their problems and needs.
The plan was passed at a special gram sabha in the presence of local MLA and Art and Culture Minister Govind Gaude, Sarpanch Anisha in presence of government officials of various departments.
It was resolved to make the village free of open defecation within one year, by providing toilets to every household. It was also planned to provide special treatment for senior citizens in the panchayat and connect every house with water supply within two years. It was also resolved to provide health insurance DYSS within one year. Besides, everyone would be provided with livelihood activities within the next five year. The panchayat had appointed around 70 volunteers who visited every household to understand their issues.
