VASCO: On the occasion of ‘Seva Hi Sangathan’ campaign, Vasco MLA Carlos Almeida announced that the long pending fire station project work will commence by September 2021.
Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha (Vasco) along with Vasco MLA, participated in the ‘Seva Hi Sangathan’ campaign on the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his completion of seven years in Office on Friday.

“The long-awaited fire station building project work will commence in September. I had a meeting with the chief minister and the finance secretary to discuss the same,” revealed Carlos.
Fire fighting officer of Vasco Francisco Mendes said that it was necessary to have a fire fighting station.
“During the cyclone Tauktae our staff attended over 160 emergency calls despite of shortage of some equipments which were arranged by MLA,” Mendes added.
“For quite some time we are operating in a small premises and this project would help to maintain the equipments and work more effectively with more staff and good infrastructure,” Mendes revealed.
On the occasion, Vasco Fire Station Department distributed Giloy (immunity booster) and N95 masks to the ‘frontline warrior’ followed by plantation drive.
