VASCO: The Vasco police conducted a gambling raid in a hotel room and arrested five persons involved in card gambling activities and seized cash of Rs 1. 5 lakh and other gambling materials on Monday night.

According to the police, the accused were arrested while playing ‘Andar Bahar’ cards game inside a hotel room in the port town. The police seized Rs 1,05,600 in cash, playing cards, a book, etc from them.
The Vasco police have registered a case against the five persons under Section 3 and 4 of Public Gambling Act.
All the accused were later released on bail. PSI Swapnil Naik is conducting further investigations under the guidance of Vasco PI Kapil Nayak and overall supervision of Mormugao DySP Salim Shaikh.
