Vasco Rly employee suspended for housing outsiders in his quarters

VASCO: A railway staffer of the Vasco Railway station has been suspended on Friday in connection with the issue of outsiders arriving at Driver Hill and staying in Railway Quarters of this employee.  

Following chaos at Driver hill on Wednesday night, the outsiders managed to escape.  DySP Raju Raut Dessai said they have considered this matter following media reports of the involvement of the staffer in allowing group of outsiders at his railway quarters at Driver Hill, Vasco on Wednesday. He mentioned that this issue created panic in the area and the Railway staffer was arrested after registering an offence under Sections 188 and 269 of IPC. Vasco Police are investigating the whereabouts and the actual identity of the persons who came to Railway Quarters at Driver Hill. 

However, the staffer had reiterated that the persons in the quarters were railway staff from Castle Rock area. Later, Vasco Railway Station Master Ramdas Guddemani confirmed that a staffer attached to Vasco Railway Station has been suspended on Friday and he will continue to remain suspended till the Railway’s inquiry into the matter is over.
