PANJIM: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has warned the Vedanta Group against retrenching of workers due to mining ban.
Sawant said, “the Vedanta workers met me and in return I have assured them to look into the matter.” He said as and when mining resumes in Goa, the companies will have to employ 100% of the workers. “If they want permissions they will have to pay salaries with retrospective effect and injustice to the locals will not be tolerated,” he added.
