VASCO: Employees of a pharmaceutical company in the Verna Industrial Estate went on a strike accusing the company of suspending some employees without any reason.
They also alleged that they are pressurised to work and even deprived of salary increments for the past five years.
An employee claimed that that the company management does not want to have a discussion with the staffers to meet their demands.
Some employees, who are questioning the company, have been suspended without any reasons.
“We expect the Chief Minister to look into the matter and do the needful,” he said and added the employees would sit on a hunger strike till the company meets their demands.
Another employee informed that there are all 220 employees are facing harassment.
He said, “The company has suspended 10 employees for pursuing the charter of demands without any reason.”
He informed that they would hold a peaceful rally and even sit on hunger strike if their demands are not met.
