PANJIM: Congress spokesman Sudip Tamhankar has filed a vigilance complaint against Sanguem Mamlatdar Pramod Bhat, Abhijat Parrikar and one Krishnaraj Naik Sukerkar for alleged “corruption in carrying out mutation process of the properties bought by Abhijat and Krishnaraj in Netravali”.
Abhijat is the son of Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar. Earlier, Parrikar had said in the past that he was being defamed by these politically motivated allegations by dragging in his family members.
In his complaint, Tamhankar alleged that mutation process of the properties bought in Survey Number 79, Sub-Division number 1 and Survey Number 78, Sub-Division number 1, was effected by the mamlatdar in just one day, while the process normally takes more time.
“The applications form mutations were made on May 27 and 28, 2013, the notice under Form IX was issued on May 31 and notice under Form X was also issued on the same day which raises serious doubts about the intentions of all those involved and needs to be investigated,” the complaint copy, which was circulated to media persons at a press conference, reads.
He alleged that the processes were completed by by-passing the usual requirements of the mutation process.
Herald tried but failed to get Parrikar’s response
Herald repeatedly tried to get reaction of Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar and his aides on the statement made by Tamhankar till late night but in vain. This reporter tried to contact press liaison officer for Parrikar, Sanchita Rodrigues and joint secretary to CM Siddhart Cuncolienkar but there was no response.
