MARGAO: As part of the concept of administration at the door steps, Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai has introduced a unique method for interacting with people through ‘Sunday Dialogue’, with the first dialogue to be launched in Margao Municipal Council’s ward number 1, on April 26. The Sunday Dialogue will be organised in a public place in every ward.
Sardesai along with the local authorities will discuss with people of every municipal ward of Fatorda their grievances and evolve solutions to various problems faced by them. The MLA has also announced that he would provide free Wi-Fi to youth in six places at Fatorda and parts of Margao to push e-governance and also for casual internet use. Free Wi-Fi zones will begin functioning from June this year.
Under the banner of ‘We for Fatorda’ Sardesai has also planned to provide seeds, machinery, fertilizers, weeding machines, tractor tillers, harvesting machines and other agricultural requirements to farmers. The facilities will be given free of cost to farmers. The MLA has also pledged to make farming in Fatorda fully organic by next year. ‘We for Fatorda’ will also assist the farmers in effective marketing.
Sardesai announced that he is also thinking of making an independent disaster management wing for Fatorda fully run by inhabitants.
