PONDA: Usgao locals have complained against the release of hazardous chemical waste and carbon-mixed water in the nullah, which is connected to Khandepar river and OPA water treatment plant and pointed out that authorities had failed to initiate action against those responsible for pollution and environmental degradation.
Talking to the media, they pointed out that certain elements had taken advantage of heavy rain and released the effluent into the nullah.
Locals point out that they had informed the pollution control authorities and Ponda police but nobody turned up at the site.
