PANJIM: The Crime Branch police arrested a 25-year-old man from West Bengal on the charge of possessing ganja worth Rs one lakh at Mapusa on Sunday.
Acting on credible information, the police conducted a narcotics raid near the backside gate of Mapusamarket yard and arrested Rabiul Hossain Sarkar and seized ganja weighing 1.076 kilograms from his possession.

A case has been registered against Sarkar under the relevant sections of Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Crime Branch police arefurther investigating the matter to find out the source where the contraband was procured from by the accused.
