MARGAO, APRIL 5
The Western bypass once again figured at the gram sabha meeting of Telaulim village Panchayat.
At a meeting held on Sunday, diverse views were expressed on the bypass passing through the village. While many called for scraping the western bypass, there were others who insisted that the alignment should remained untouched.
Incidentally, at the last gram Sabha, members had demanded that the width of the bypass be reduced from 80 mts to 40 mts.
However, no final decision has, however, been taken on the bypass, with the Sarpanch Rosy assuring to allow discussion at the next meeting called to finalise the Regional plan.
Meanwhile, gram Sabha members demanded that the irrigation canal passing through the village be shown on the RP 2021.
Members further demanded protection of the water bodies and paddy fields which were showed as settlement zones in the RP plan.
