Will divided Opposition boost BJP’s electoral chances?
United we stand, divided we fall. This very famous phrase is always used to signify the importance of unity in standing up to any adversity. But that does not seem to apply to Goa’s main Opposition parties. Both the Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) seem to be confident of getting the majority mark of 21 seats on their own but are non-committal on post-poll alliance if no party gets a clear mandate. This is what emerged during the Point Counterpoint panel discussion on Herald TV hosted by Sujay Gupta on the issue of whether Opposition unity is a myth or reality.
