PANJIM: Tony Rodrigues, Congress candidate of Taleigao constituency believes that the voters of Taleigao constituency would vote him in large number and make him win the upcoming Assembly elections with the huge margin of votes.
“We started our door-to-door campaigning around a month ago. People receive me whole heartedly during my door-to-door campaign”, said Rodrigues.

Stating that it was not him but his supporters who decided the constituency and symbol on which he must contest on, Rodrigues said, “The decision to contest the election was not mine. My supporters and the people of Taleigao asked me to contest the elections under the banner of Congress and so I opted to contest from Taleigao constituency on the banner of Congress”.
“We have almost finished with the campaigning. I apologise to the people of Taleigao if I had mistakenly missed a few houses or the colony and would like to appeal them to vote Congress in huge number and help me in winning to serve for the constituency and its people”, he added.
“This constituency is under-developed and there is lot of scope for development in here. People are mostly upset over the issue of irregular supply of water and frequent power outrages. There are many such problems which I have planned to solve once voted to power”, said Rodrigues.
Assuring Taleigao people that he will not jump from one party to another, Rodrigues said, “I don’t want to comment on the leaders who defect but I can promise the people of Taleigao that I will always remain loyal to Congress and my supporters and will never indulge myself into defection”.
