PANJIM: Wilson Godinho, the brother of MLA Mauvin Godinho has denied that he owns any land in Mopa or its vicinity, arguing that he had only ‘helped’ J M township in acquiring land in Pernem.
“Only got involved in the acquisition because the ownership of land was complex and I wanted to help the old landowners in getting their land for shareholding,” he said adding that he was a private person and not involved in politics or government functioning and had no association with his MLA brother in any business, refuting the allegation that he had gained undue profit because he was a brother of a politician.
