With eye on North seat, NCP forms district panel

PANJIM: The Nationalist Congress Party declared a 21-member North Goa District Committee making its intentions clear that the party's eyes are clearly on the North Goa seat for the forthcoming elections.

PANJIM: The Nationalist Congress Party declared a 21-member North Goa District Committee making its intentions clear that the party’s eyes are clearly on the North Goa seat for the forthcoming elections. 
Adv Krishna Naik will head the committee consisting of three vice presidents, three general secretaries four secretaries one joint secretary one treasurer and eight executive members.  Most of those elected to the committee fall in the constituencies of Porvorim, Saligao, Tivim, Siolim and Mapusa where the NCP claims to have a strong presence. 
The committee will have the task of raising the party at the grassroots in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
