CANACONA: A 20-year-old woman collapsed and died while she had gone to fetch water from a well at Shellim in Loliem-Polem early Thursday morning.
According to Canacona Police, Fammy Sidhi was found dead near a well at Shellim.
Police sources informed that they received a call at about 7.25 am informing about the incident. Sidhi had gone to fetch water from the well, but she reportedly collapsed near the well. The body has been sent for post-mortem and the report is awaited.
Sidhi was known to have been actively involved in the Shelli Chapel and was also reportedly teaching catechism to children. A case of unnatural death has been registered by the police.
