Woman found murdered in bushes

A woman was found murdered in the bushes at Nageshi, Ponda on Monday morning. According to Ponda police, the woman, aged between 20 and 25 years and appearing to be non-Goan, was murdered by strangulation.
Police further said that both the hands of the woman were tied and the golden bangles worn by her were intact.
The police suspected that the murder might have taken place 24 hours ago. The body was sent to GMC for autopsy, which will be conducted on Tuesday, informed police.
Meanwhile, police have rounded up some non-Goan labourers for interrogation. PI Manjunath Desai has expressed confidence in solving the case at the earliest. The case has been registered as murder and police is investigating the case.
