VASCO: Personnel of Vasco fire brigade service, on Tuesday morning, and the local police managed to save a life of an old woman, who had accidentally slipped and fell into an open well. She had gone near the well well to pluck flowers.
Speaking to media, a local Ashrud Bengekar, said that a nearby resident heard the voice of the old woman, who had fallen into the well.

The resident who witnessed the incident promptly called up local authorities, who in turn called the local police and the fire brigade. The fire brigade rushed to the spot and managed to rescue the old woman.
The old woman was rescued by using a metal ladder and ropes. She is out of danger, as said by the fire fighters.
After rescuing the lady, the fire safety personnel said that the Vasco fire station received a call at around 10.45 am that an old lady had fallen in the open well. “We rushed to the site and noticed that an old woman holding a rope inside the well. The fire fighters brought a metal ladder and rescued her from the well. Local police at the site took her to the Chicalim sub-district hospital for medical treatment. The old woman is out of danger,” said the safety personnel of the Vasco fire station.
