PANJIM: The wood based industries in Goa, will have to pay higher fees for renewal of their licences from between Rs 800 to Rs 4000 depending on the size of the units, with immediate effect.
According to the notification issued Thursday, the saw mill renewal license fee would be Rs 4000 per unit per year, the carpentry units (large) and (small) would be charged Rs 1000 and Rs 800 per unit per year, respectively.
The depot license fee would be Rs 1500 per year.
“The annual renewal license fees for a period of three years for both Saw Mills and Carpentry Units should be collected, in advance,” the notification reads.
