Work of cancer hospital at Bambolim to start in 2 months: Health Min

MARGAO: State Health Minister Vishwajit Rane stated that the work of 270 crore cancer hospital at Bambolim will commence in the next two months, as he felicitated the frontline workers of Curtorim Health Centre on Tuesday. 

He has assured that the contract workers who served the State at the time of the COVID pandemic will be given government jobs in the next three months of time. Rane has informed that the work of ten bedded hospital at the Lotoulim Health Centre will start before the next Assembly elections. 

Rane along with Curtorim MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco, Nuvem MLA Wilfred D’Sa, besides Director of Health Services Dr Jose D’Sa and others attended the function organised to felicitate the frontline workers of Curtorim Health Centre. 

Addressing the gathering health minister said that the government will not abandon the contract workers who served during the COVID pandemic. “Soon the recruitment for nurses and other medical staff will commence and we will give top priority to adjust the contract medical workers. The government will protect them and hence they should not take tension”, he assured.
