Worker dies of burns

MARGAO, AUG 8
A worker employed in a steel rolling mill has died of burn injuries in a city hospital on Sunday.
Police said the deceased Ram Kumar Bhati had sustained burn injuries while working in the steel unit. He succumbed today.
Meanwhile, a native of Uttar Pradesh allegedly committed suicide by hanging at Margao after he returned from his native place.
The police are investigating into the case.
Pedestrian killed: A 22-year old pedestrian was killed at Verna in the jurisdiction of Maina Curtorim police station after he was knocked down by a bus this morning.
The deceased B Kumar Mahato died on the spot.
The police has arrested and later released the bus driver on bail.
