PANJIM: A member of the Goa State Milk Producers Union Ltd has filed a writ petition in the High Court of Bombay at Goa seeking the removal of Goa Dairy’s Managing Director Raghunath Dhuri alleging corruption.
Shivanand Pednekar has sought directions to the Registrar of Co-operative Societies to direct the Administrator of Goa Dairy to remove Dhuri from the post, to which he was appointed in early September.
The petitioner alleged that Dhuri has signed in as Goa Dairy MD without an appointment as per rules and bylaws of the Society, and that he is involved in corruption allegations.
The dairy administrator had appointed the senior veterinarian to perform duties of managing director until a full time MD is appointed.
After the high court had refused interim relief to N C Sawant, the administrator had suspended his services as the dairy’s MD and appointed Dhuri on temporary basis.
