First, how and who gave permission to start the market without providing for an adequate treatment plant? Why is the Goa State Pollution Control Board not stepping in?
To get the treatment plant to be set up the residents need to write to Governor Mridula Sinha on the filth generated daily and discharged untreated into the fields. Action will follow immediately.
The area itself has no drain points and has not been planned as a fish market. The users too need to be pulled up for generating more pollution by improper care.
