PANJIM: The by-election for the three Zilla Panchayat constituencies of Reis Magos, Cortalim and Davorlim will be held on October 16, according to the State Election Commission (SEC).
The three ZP constituencies fell vacant after the then members resigned to contest Assembly elections held in February this year.

Of them two members Anton Vas (Cortalim) and Ulhas Tuenkar (Davorlim) won the Assembly elections and then quit as ZP member.
Rupesh Naik, Reis Magos ZP member resigned and contested the Assembly elections as an independent candidate from Saligao and lost.
