Review:
Franky’mother (Jessica) coaxes her son to give up his bad habits and make up his mind to come to London. But unemployed Franky, who is in love with Mira (Alina), prefers to flirt and enjoy life at the cost of his mother.
As mom and his sister Ofelia (Ofelia) return to London to earn their living, Franky enjoys life with his girlfriend, who resides with her aged father (Caziton de Cacora). On one occasion, when he is caught by the cop (Eddie) in the garden with Alina, his contact with the local MLA helps to save his skin.
But little does Franky realize that the MLA and his other friends are taking undue advantage of him. One fine day, when he is trapped by the same cop with drugs, neither the MLA nor his friends come to his rescue.
What is Franky’s fate? Finally, who comes to his rescue? Will he mend his crooked ways and decide to make his career and future?
Comedian Ambe’s tiatr ‘Devan Ghoddlolo Sonvsar’ focuses on youth, unemployment and addiction. Unemployment resulting to addiction is not the solution, but finding a way out can bring in the required change, thus making God’s creation more beautiful.
As a mom, Jessica plays her role with ease. She is ably supported by Ofelia and Franky as siblings. As a guest, Peter de Vasco makes his entry in style. Eddie is comfortable as a cop and delivers with gusto. Alina, as the new entrant on stage, has good stage presence and is confident in dialogue delivery.
In between the main acts, comedian Ambe along with Caziton de Cacora and Eddie make efforts to entertain with some laughter pills.
In the category of songs, Alina comes along with the opening chorus, followed by solos by Xavier Gomes, Nazario Pinto, Lawry Travasso, Francis de Tuem, A M Pacheco, Menino and Caziton de Cacora, a duet by Caziton and Ofelia, trios by Jessica, Ofelia, Alina and Xavier, Lawry and Francis de Tuem. A duo went amiss in the drama.
