MARGAO: The 2nd AFC Level 1 Futsal course organised by Youth Futsal Academy in association with GFA and AIFF concluded with a total of 11 aspiring coaches from all over India among whom were 3 Goan coaches who attended the week long course that started on June 13 and concluded June 18.
The theory sessions were held at the PJN conference hall and the practical sessions at the Chowgule College futsal court. The course instructor was Chiew Chun Yong from Malaysia (AFC Elite Instructor, Malaysia National team head coach) and was assisted by Joshuah Stan Vaz from Goa.
“I strongly believe that India have so much potential to be one of the power house in Futsal at the near future if come out with short and long term structure implementation. Based on the ongoing course in Goa, I found out that if with more education and courses organized in India, no doubt that with their abilities will be able to produce a huge pool of quality coaches or instructors before developing more quality players in next few years”, said Chun Yong.
