PANJIM: The Special Olympics Bharat-Goa (Youth Activation Committee) organised a unified 5-A Side Futsal tournament in collaboration with Don Bosco Oratory Sports and Cultural Youth Club with a total number of 10 teams playing which was held at the Don Bosco Oratory, Panjim, on Saturday.
Each team consisted of 5 players of which 2 were the Unified Partners from various schools and colleges.
The teams who were trained over the past weeks put on a tremendous display of their skills attained effortlessly.
Some of the schools selected to play the tournaments included Sanjay Centre for Special Education, St. Xaviers Academy and others.
The scores were as follows; Sanjay Centre for Special Education, Porvorim v. St. Xavier’s Academy 1-1; School for Appropriate Learning v. Keshav Seva Sadna, Valpoi 4-5; St. Xavier’s Academy v. School for Appropriate Learning (Female) 0-5; Sanjay Centre For Special Education, Curchorem v. Sanjay Centre For Special Education, Vasco 8-7; School for Appropriate Learning v. Disha School 4-3; St. Xavier’s Academy v. Peace Heaven Caranzalem 0-3.
