Adarsh Yuvak Sangh defeated Holiday Sports Club, Arpora 5-4 via tie-breaker to move into quarter-finals of Fr Chico Bayside Cup football tournament organized by Candolim Sports Club at Dr Gustavo Monteiro Stadium, Candolim. At halt time, Holiday Sports Club led 1-0.
In a match dominated by Adarsh it was Holiday who took the lead in the 19th minute through Adnan Naik. Stung by the reverse, Adarsh tried to level the score but their forwards failed to find the net.
Changing over, Adarsh forwards mounted pressure on Arpora defence and succeeded in levelling the score in the 13th minute through Agnel Fernandes. The teams thereafter played a cautious game and the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
In the tie-breaker, Adarsh proved better shooters prevailing 4-3 over Holiday. Aveline, Sidesh, Nakul and Rawal converted for Adarsh while Velancio, Saish and Siddesh were on target for Holiday.
