After a draw, Sporting Clube eye win against Kenkre FC

RAIA: Sporting Clube de Goa will look to get to winning ways when they host Kenkre FC in their second match of I-League 2 at Tilak Maidan, Vasco, on Saturday, at 4 pm.

The Third Division League champions were held to a 1-1 draw against Sudeva Delhi FC in their opening match and will look for nothing less than three points against their opponents from Mumbai.

Sporting Clube made all the right moves but were guilty of squandering some good chances. They have trained hard and tried to work more on their finishing in the given time.

“There is no doubt it is going to be a tough match on Saturday. We have to play well and focus throughout the game,” said Sporting Clube Assistant Coach and former India captain Climax Lawrence.

New signing Mark Carvalho was straight down to business as he had given Sporting Clube the lead in the very third minute against Sudeva. The striker is optimistic he can continue with his form and provide more goals in the coming games.

Sporting Clube have acquired the services of talented goalkeeper Dylan D’Silva on loan from Dempo SC and he will be under the sticks. New signings Alister Anthony and Shelton Nickson will also be available for selection.
