In the final, Agonda Angels won the toss and decided to bowl first.
Paingin Panthers scored 91/8. The main scorers were Rukshita Naik (29 runs), Diksha Tengse (20 runs), Sharmila Gaonkar (15 runs).
Sindia Naik and Gauri Padkar took two wickets each while Siya Komarpant and Alisha Pagi took one wicket each.
Sindia Naik’s 34 not out helped Agonda Angels reached the target in 18.3 overs by losing three wickets. Gauri Padkar scored 26 runs while Brinda Pagi scored 15 runs. Rukshita Naik took two wickets while Anisha Painginkar took one wicket.
Altogether, four teams participated. In the first semi-final, Agonda Angels defeated Canacona Cubs by four wickets. After winning the toss, Agonda Angels decided to bowl first.
In 20 overs, Canacona Cub scored 69/5. The scorers were Jyoti Gaonkar (22), Shreya Pagi (13) while Gouri Padkar and Sindia Naik took two wickets each and Apiya Pagi and Ramina Naik took one wickets each.
In reply, Agonda Angels achieved the target in 18.3 overs by losing six wickets. Sindia Naik (24), Gauri Padkar (15) and Thami Baudan (12) performed well.
In the second semi-final, Paingin Panthers defeated Loliem Lions by 15 runs. After winning the toss, Loliem Lions decided to bowl first.
Paingin Pathers scored 72 runs in allotted 20 overs by losing six wickets. The main scorers were Rukshita Naik (26), Diksha Tengse (18), Anisha Painginkar (17). Sneha Pagi and Ashwini Nayak took two wickets each while Bharati Bandekar took one wicket.
In reply, Loliem Lions managed to score only 58 runs by losing eight wickets. The main scorers were Sneha Pagi (18), Bindiya Pawar (13) and Mishal D’Souza (10). Sharmila Gaonkar of Paingin Panthers took four wickets while Rukshita Naik took two wickets and Anisha Painginkar took one wicket.
Individual prizes awarded were: Player of the tournament Rukshita Naik (Paingin Panthers), player of the final Sindiya Naik (Agonda Angels), best batting Gauri Padkar (Agonda Angels), best bowler Sharmila Gaonkar (Paingin Panthers).
At the prize distribution function, Ankita Navelkar, chairperson, North Goa Zilla Panchayat was the chief guest and gave away the prizes in the presence of Champa Pagi, vice chairperson, Canacona Municipal Council; Rajashri Pagi, councillor of CMC and Archana Painginkar, panch of Poinginim panchayat.
Also present were Prashant Naik, chairman, Nirakar Education Society; Mahadev Desai, former chairperson and councillor of CMC; Sudesh Prabhudesai, president of Mashem Cricket Club; Divakar Pagi, former chairperson of CMC and Umesh Naik, teacher at St Aloysious High School.
Earlier, Daya Pagi, president of Polem Cricket Club, welcomed. Santosh Satarkar proposed a vote of thanks. Sharendra Naik compered.
