| AIFF HONOUR: GFA’s executive committee member and competitions committee deputy chairman, Jose Welvin Maximo de Menezes, who has been appointed member of AIFF Players’ Status Committee for 2013-16. He has been one the active GFA member, being the manager of the victorious U-20 State team which won the National Dutta Ray Trophy in Haryana in 2010, manager of State senior team for Santosh Trophy last year. He is the general secretary of Goa Velha Sports Club since 2005, being one of those instrumental in getting Goa Velha promoted to Goa Professional League and remaining in the elite league for the past four years with young, talented players despite a very low budget. He is also the president of Casa do Povo, Goa Velha. |
