With some fine piece of bowling from Jineev Joshi, Al-Fatah took a 12-run first inning lead against Dempo CC in Goa Premier League at BITS Pilani ground.
With the overnight score of 33 for 2, Dempo started well but at the end were all out for 192 in 64 overs thus falling short by 12 runs.
Mumbai pacer Jiveen Joshi with his impressive bowling, single-handedly claimed seven wickets with impressive figure of 21-3-57-7.
Shirang Kapse scored 57 and Amit Yadav 46 not out ton be the top scorers for Dempo.
In the second innings, Al-Fatha, though started confidently with Chandrakanth Gadi 51 off 106 balls, lost some quick wickets and managed 80 for 5 wickets off 35.5 overs, while Mandar did most of the damage taking 3 wickets for 11 runs.
Earlier, Al-Fatha were bowled out for 204 with Harshad Gadekar scoring 46 alongwith Girish Yadav 41. Dempo bowled out Al-Fatah for 204.
Bandekar and Arun Vagji took 3 wickets each for 50 and 25 runs respectively.
At Porvorim ground, Goa Sports Academy (GSA) took a 105-run lead over Sarvodaya. GSA folded at 294 in 98.3 overs, thanks to Salil Dhuri’s solid 99. Rajshekar Harikant 15. Robin D’Sousa claimed 4-70, Rakesh Badrapur 1-54.
Sarvodaya were bowled out for 189 in 52.1 overs. Ganeshraj Narvekar 49, Darshan Mishal 45, Robin 42. Salil Dhuri 3-63, Sandesh Pawaskar 4-31, Sachin Kohckar 3-19.
GSA (2nd innings) 48 for 4 (23 overs). Damodar Lotlikar 18, Sandesh 15 not, Aditya Angle 7 not out. Robin 2-13, Rohan Desai 1-9, Badrapur 1-14.
