PANJIM: Albert Developers won by 64 runs over Mulgao Tigers while Mahalaximi SAL beat Sarvi Khandola by 30 runs to move into pre-quarters of Betim United all-Goa Panchayat level T-20 cricket, played at SAG ground, Panjim, on Monday.
Batting first, Albert Developers scored 184 for 9 in the allotted overs. Gaurav Desai scored 42 runs while Shishir Divkar, Amulya Pandrekar and Devidas Kholkar scored 22 runs each. Shanu Raut claimed 3 wickets giving away 40 runs. In reply, Mulgao Tigers were restricted to 119 runs. Albert Developers’ Amulya Pandrekar who claimed 4 wickets for 31 runs and his contribution of 22 runs for his side was adjudged the Man of the-Match for his all-round performance.
In the second match of the day, Mahalaxini(SAL) batting first piled up 198 runs for 3 in the allotted overs with fine knock of 62 runs by Pranay Deulkar and Chetan Parab(39).
Sarvi Khandola needing 199 runs started well but failed to chase down the target due the brilliant bowling spell of Mahesh Thakur, who claimed 4 wickets for 33 runs as they were bundled out for 168 runs in 20 overs.
Mahalaxmi’s Mahesh Thakur was adjudged the Man-of-the-Match.
