MAPUA/RAIA: Albert developers SC thrashed CDJ Ribander 5-0 in the GFA’s Division I League match played at Poriat ground, Calangute, on Tuesday.
In the 14th minute, Saish Kavlekar scored from inside the 18-yard box after Saidatt had done the spadework, 1-0. Saiesh netted his brace off a cross from Newton in the 32nd minute of play.

On crossing ends, Albert Developers SC carried on their onslaught and scored three more goals. Shushant gave a through pass to Newton who placed the ball at right top corner of the keeper, 3-0. As the match progressed, Ranjit Tete and Bhavesh netted two quick goals in the 72nd and 74th minute ofplay.
At PVC Parra ground, St Anthony’s SC, Marna, registered a fluent 3-1 win over Candolim SC. St Anthony’s SC went into the breather with 2-1 lead. Vishank Dhargalkar scored the first blood in the 30th minute, while 10 minutes later Rakesh Samal doubled the lead on entering the penalty box.
Candolim SC’s star striker Sanket Jotkar collecting a floater from medio Laishram beat his marker Vipul Pednekar and the onrushing St Anthony’s SC goalkeeper and scored to reduce the margin. On resumption of play, both teams played almost on equal footing but in the 81st minute Sahil Pomburphekar scored for the winners.
Santa Cruz Club of Cavelossim edged past Mandopa SC 4-2 at Rosary ground, Navelim. SCC Cavelossim scored through Delzan Passanha’s brace, while Asfin Pinto and Semson Fernandes netted a goal each. Mandopa SC’s Presley Pinto and Travis Souza netted a goal each.
