Alleluia Boys advance

Alleulia Boys, Navelim beat Mistake Boys, Sernabatim 6- 5 via the tie-breaker to storm into the quarter-finals of Gumboots football tournament organised by Gumboots Boys of Orlim at church ground, Orlim on Tuesday. The teams were level 3-3 at full time.
Alleulia Boys dominated the proceedings in the opening session as their forwards repeatedly raided the rival citadel and found success when Royston bulged the net from hand- shaking distance. Royelle doubled the lead with a snap shot. Stallin increased their tally with an adroit placement.
Stunned by triple blows, Mistake Boys regrouped quickly and called the shots. They were rewarded when Ozie Fernandes reduced the margin at the stroke of half time.
Mistake Boys came back strongly in the second half and created many forays into the rival territory with Santan unleashing a stiff grounder which gave no chance to the rival goalkeeper.
Spurred by the reducer, Mistake Boys piled on the pressure and were rewarded when Levino resorted parity late in the second half.
In the tie-breaker Aldrin, Royelle and Royston scored for Alleulia Boys while Santan and Levino converted for Mistake Boys.
