MARGAO: Ambaulim Boys blanked Lee Palms, Varca 2-0 to march into the final of Our Lady of Fatima football tournament organized by Fatima Sports Club, Baida-Chinchinim at Baida ground, Chinchinim, Monday. There was no score at half time.
Ambaulim Boys dominated both sessions but could not score in the opening sessions due to inept shooting by their forwards.
The second half saw Ambaulim Boys displaying attacking football and the rival defenders had a tough time in containing the Ambaulim forwards.
Ambaulim Boys went into the lead in the 40th minute when striker Domnic Carvalho showcased his skills with the ball as he went past a couple of defenders to score.
Spurred by the lead, Ambaulim Boys galvanized their attacks when Martries beat the rival goalkeeper with a snap shot to increase the lead.
