Anurag Mhamal (2175) and Nandini Saripalli (1847) were the top seeds at the State Junior U-19 chess selection for boys and girls respectively at Campal.
Ivana Furtado who has been given the second seeding defeated Sadhana Kadam.
In all, 36 boys and 14 girls are participating. There are a total of 9 rated players in the boys section and 4 rated players in the girls section.
At the end of the first-round there are 15 boys and 6 girls with a point each.
